This shear pin is designed to break when there is excess stress on the chain or drive unit, which can help prevent damage to the equipment and keep your livestock safe.
When the chain experiences too much stress, such as if an object becomes lodged in the chain or the chain gets stuck, the pin will break, stopping the chain from moving and preventing further damage to the feeding system.
Replacing the shear pin is a simple process. You typically remove the old pin from the chain or drive unit and replace it with a new one. It's important to make sure you have the right size and strength shear pin for your specific system. This contains 50 medium grade pins, measuring 1-½” long
