When calves raised individually are placed into large groups, the stress from competition and social pressure can lead to setbacks in growth and health. By placing only 3 to 4 similarly sized, weaned calves in a MultiMax group calf-raising system, you can help ease the transition.
Group calf-raising promotes continued growth and healthy development as calves bond into social groups. Calf-Tel’s MultiMax hutch system is designed to create a microenvironment ideal for calf development. Optional rear venting allows for increased airflow and cooling during warmer months, and its treated lumber base is strong, durable, and weather resistant.
Because the MultiMax calf hutch is made from polyethylene plastic, it’s less rigid than wood, making it less susceptible to cracks, fractures, or splintering. Its surface is also non-porous, making it resilient to mold and bacteria growth, while easy to clean or pressure wash.
